These Terms govern your use of theyellowlabs.com(the “Site”), operated by The Yellow Labs (“we”, “us”). By using the Site, you agree to these Terms. If you don't agree, please don't use the Site.
These Terms cover the public website and the information on it. Paid engagements (consulting, software development, retainers) are governed by a separate Statement of Work or Master Services Agreement signed between us and the client, which takes precedence over anything written here.
1. Who we are

2. Permitted use
You may use the Site to:
- Read our content
- Contact us about a potential engagement
- Subscribe to anything we make subscribable in the future
You agree not to:
- Scrape the Site at scale, run automated load tools, or interfere with its operation
- Submit false information through our forms
- Impersonate anyone or misrepresent your affiliation
- Use the Site for any unlawful purpose or to send unsolicited bulk email
- Reverse-engineer, decompile, or attempt to extract source code from any client-side or server-side code we serve
3. Content on the Site
All content on the Site — text, design, code, logos, images — is owned by us or licensed to us. You may share and quote our public posts with attribution and a link back. You may not republish substantial portions of our content, repurpose our design system, or pass our writing off as your own.
When you submit a message through our contact form, you keep ownership of what you submit. You grant us a limited license to read, store, and respond to your message.
4. The information here is not advice
Our blog and service pages describe general approaches to software development. They aren't legal, financial, medical, regulatory, or engagement-specific advice. Read them for orientation; don't treat them as a substitute for a real conversation about your project, or for advice from a qualified professional in your domain.
5. Third-party links
Our blog and service pages occasionally link to third-party sites (frameworks, vendors, articles). We don't control those sites and aren't responsible for their content, accuracy, or privacy practices.
6. Disclaimer of warranties
The Site is provided “as is” and “as available”. To the maximum extent allowed by law, we disclaim all warranties — express, implied, or statutory — including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement.
We don't warrant that the Site will be uninterrupted, error-free, secure, or free of harmful components. You use it at your own risk.
7. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent allowed by law, we are not liable to you for any indirect, incidental, consequential, special, or punitive damages — including lost profits, lost revenue, lost data, or business interruption — arising out of or relating to your use of the Site, even if we've been advised such damages were possible.
For any direct damages, our total liability arising from the Site (not paid engagements, which have their own contract) is capped at INR 1,000 or the equivalent in your local currency.
8. Governing law and disputes
These Terms are governed by the laws of India. Any dispute arising out of or related to these Terms or your use of the Site will be resolved in the courts of Bengaluru, Karnataka, India, and you consent to that jurisdiction.
Paid engagements have their own governing-law clause set out in the relevant Statement of Work or Master Services Agreement — that clause controls for the engagement, not this one.
9. Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms as the site evolves. The “Last updated” date at the top reflects when we last meaningfully changed them. Continued use of the Site after changes means you accept the updated Terms.
